Patrick McGarry, Jr. works as the Senior Associate, State Issues working within the Regulatory Services Division. Before joining Stateside Associates, Patrick worked as a legislative staffer in the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives, focusing on rural healthcare, telecommunications, transportation, infrastructure, and economic development. Patrick also has research experience at state-level think tanks, international chambers of commerce, and political action committees.

Originally from Colorado, Patrick received his bachelor's degree in Political Science from Seattle University and his master's degree in Rural Futures Planning and Innovation from the University of Galway in Galway, Ireland. Patrick was a 2018 Fellow with the American Enterprise Institute and the State Policy Network. He is also a proud member of the 2017 Capital Semester Scholars and the 2021-2022 Public Policy Fellows through The Fund for American Studies.
