Becky Lukaesko and Kiley Smith Promoted to Vice President Positions

ARLINGTON, VA, May 26, 2022 - Stateside Associates is excited to announce today two management promotions intended to further grow the firm's client services offerings focusing on political affairs and regulatory services.

Becky Lukaesko Promoted to Vice President of Regulatory Services.
In Becky's new role, she will continue to serve as a leader of a division of attorneys who perform compliance and policy research and advise clients about the impact of regulatory activities on their business and their opportunities to influence the processes.

"Becky has distinguished herself as an expert in state regulatory process and substance," said Mark Anderson, Stateside's Co-CEO. "In doing so, Becky has become invaluable to our clients in advising on the best courses of action to address regulatory advocacy both on a broad national scale and within specific state and local governments."

Becky has been helping clients to understand, engage and navigate the state's rulemaking processes since 2007. Serving most recently as Senior Director and Counsel, Becky has led Stateside's Regulatory Services Division, a crucial part of Stateside's client service offerings. Becky's tenure at Stateside has allowed her to maximize the Company's effectiveness when dealing state and local government regulatory agencies by assisting clients in analyzing and interpreting statutes, regulations, and the process surrounding administrative actions.

Becky holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Maryland, College Park and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. She is also a member of the Maryland Bar.

Kiley Smith Promoted to Vice President of Political Affairs.

In her new role as Vice President of Political Affairs, Kiley will continue to be responsible for supporting client advocacy efforts, relationship-building programs and developing more engagement offerings for our clients, such as direct advocacy options and grassroots political efforts. "I am looking forward to expanding the advocacy services we can provide clients, leveraging our relationships with elected officials, developing better messaging and building support for our clients engagement efforts from targeted constituents and businesses," said Kiley.

"Kiley's leadership, experience and client management skills at Stateside makes her an invaluable part of our team of consultants," said Michael Behm, Stateside's Co-CEO. "We're counting on her to help us continue to grow and evolve our advocacy practice, helping our clients to secure more return on their engagement investments, continuing to help them navigate the political-oriented state officials Groups, and creating new service offerings such as grassroots and direct messaging tools."

Since joining Stateside in 2017, Kiley has been helping build a national political engagement strategy for Stateside's clients and created successful pathways for clients to accomplish policy goals with elected officials while also impacting ground-level political efforts. She is a leader within Stateside's Issue Management practice and serves on the Finance Committees of both the Republican Governors Association (RGA) and the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC).

Kiley's professional achievements and extensive background in supporting individual political campaigns and a national state 527 group make her a valued member of the Stateside team. Prior to joining Stateside, Kiley led the Republican Legislative Campaign Committee (RLCC) as Executive Director through two successful campaign cycles. Kiley has also assisted several gubernatorial campaigns, managed independent expenditure campaigns for the Republican Governors Association in 2010, and later moved to administer Republican National Committee (RNC) field staff training for Mitt Romney's 2012 presidential campaign.

Kiley is a Washington State native, having grown up in Gig Harbor and graduated from Washington State University.
