MICHAEL BEHM TO PARTICIPATE IN DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE RANGE SUSTAINABILITY CONFERENCE
Stateside Associates’ Michael Behm will participate on a panel of state and local policymakers and conservation group leaders August 13 at a national military range sustainability meeting in Phoenix, Arizona to discuss how successful partnering strategies between state and local officials and the Department of Defense are protecting the military’s testing and training ranges, sustaining open space and advancing national conservation efforts. http://smrconference.com/
Behm will join legislators from at least seven states, senior staff from the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) and DoD officials, military range managers and conservation groups for the upcoming “Sustaining Military Readiness” Conference, August 11-14, hosted by the Office of the Secretary of Defense and others within DoD.
Stateside has been working closely with the Office of the Secretary of Defense and NCSL leadership since 2007 to create and support NCSL’s Task Force on Veterans Affairs and Military Installations, an Executive Committee task force, focusing on balancing the military’s mission with the needs of the neighboring communities. The Task Force has 16 participating legislators from 14 states. |
